Regular attendance is essential for student success at Acquire Centre. This policy outlines the expectations and procedures regarding student attendance to ensure consistency, accountability, and academic integrity.
- Attendance Expectations
1.1 Regular Attendance
Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes, tutorials, labs, and any other instructional sessions. Regular attendance is crucial for achieving academic success and meeting course requirements.
1.2 Punctuality
Students must arrive on time for all scheduled sessions. Late arrivals can disrupt the learning environment and may be recorded as tardiness.
1.3 Attendance Records
Attendance will be recorded for all classes and educational activities. These records will be maintained by the administration and monitored regularly.

2.1 Types of Absences
- Excused Absences: Absences due to illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, religious observances, or other valid reasons approved by the administration.
- Unexcused Absences: Absences without a valid reason or prior approval from the administration.
2.2 Reporting Absences
- Planned Absences: Students must inform the administration and their instructors in advance if they know they will be absent. A note from a parent or guardian may be required.
- Unplanned Absences: In case of sudden illness or emergencies, students or their guardians must notify the administration by filling out the absence form no less than 24 hours after an absence.

For excused absences, appropriate documentation such as a doctor’s note, appointment confirmation, or a letter from a guardian may be required upon the student’s return.

3.2 Attendance Thresholds
- Warning: After three unexcused absences in a term, a warning notice will be sent to the student and their guardians.
- Further Action: Continued unexcused absences may result in additional disciplinary actions, including suspension or expulsion from the course or program. Please note that there will be no refund of fees paid if a student is canceled for attendance violations,
3.3 Make-up Work
Students are responsible for completing any missed assignments, tests, or other work due to absences. Arrangements for make-up work should be made with the instructors.

4.1 Chronic Illness or Long-Term Absence
Students with chronic illnesses or those requiring long-term absences due to medical or other significant reasons should inform the administration as soon as possible. Appropriate accommodations and support will be provided based on individual needs and documentation.
4.2 Participation in School-Sanctioned Activities
Absences due to participation in school-sanctioned activities such as field trips, competitions, or other events will be considered excused. Students are expected to make arrangements for completing missed work.
